CHARACTER

The Formosa Qilai Oolong is a distinguished Taiwanese high mountain oolong tea, celebrated for its unique flavor profile and aromatic qualities. Grown in the Qilai Mountain region, this tea thrives at elevations ranging from 1,000 to 2,200 meters. The high altitude contributes to its refined taste and aromatic complexity.  This oolong offers a harmonious blend of floral and fruity notes, often accompanied by a subtle creaminess. The infusion yields a smooth, mellow liquor with a lingering, pleasant and sweet aftertaste. The tea exudes a fresh, floral fragrance, reminiscent of orchids or ripe fruits, enhancing the overall sensory experience. It also has lemon and cherry notes, complemented by the fragrance of linden blossoms.

Qilai Shan is the 15th highest mountain in Taiwan and home to the highest tea-growing regions (3608m). In these areas, the size of tea gardens is regulated by the government to protect watersheds and forests. As a result, high mountain teas are scarce, and their processing must meet high-quality standards Our tea comes from a garden located at an altitude of 2000m, surrounded by forest, exposed to cooler, more humid air masses year-round. Its thick, elastic leaves yield an intensely aromatic and flavorful, yet light infusion.
