The Bizen shiboridashi is a small, ceremonial, unglazed, wood-fired teapot with an engraved strainer. Uchida-san’s shiboridashi teapots have a medium to fast pour, and our current teapot pours in a beautiful stream with medium speed. The lid features a banded texture, with shades of grey, red, and darker tones. The ash deposits on the body create a glossy, glazed surface. This teapot, with its striking lid and bright interior, has a cheerful vibe. It’s primarily recommended for gyokuro and high-quality sencha teas.
