Description
ORIGIN & HARVEST TIME
A wild tea from old trees in Yunnan, Xishuangbanna, Yiwu Shan, in 1000m height, 2019
CHARACTER
A charming tea with a sweet fragrance pressed mainly from large leaves – with only a few stems. This southern tea reminds us of the colors and mellow flavors of the summer. The typical aromatic richness of Yiwu teas is also present here, with infusions that leave a honeyed scent, radiating fruity, ripe peach aromas. We can infuse this tea sort more than ten times while the broad, nicely prepared leaves provide us enough ammunition.
Yiwu
The Yiwu Mountain, the most prominent of the six famous tea mountains, which is an ancient tea region northeast of the Lancang River in the tropical part. The Yiwu puer is a soft, delicate, sweet, fragrant tea with a restrained, yet very elegant and versatile aroma. A good yiwu tea is very intelligent, it has hidden values and ornaments: a sweet spicy face. Its light brew is smooth, sweet, nothing irritating, just hidden complexities and subtle aromas swirling until the tea’s power kicks in 🙂 Bigger leaf, greyish colour.
DOSAGE & BREWING GUIDELINE
Use 5-8 grams of tea in 150 – 200 ml water. Infuse at 80-85°C, for 30-60 seconds, 10 – 12 times.
