ORIGIN & HARVEST TIME
Yunnan, Lincang, Bulangshan, 2005
CHARACTER
Lao cha consists of leaves selected from the center and bottom of the fermenting leaf pile, compressed into small clumps by weight and heat. It’s a variant with the same character as the tea cake but in more compact, fully fermented little clusters. The tea has a sweet, oily taste, alongside a strong earthy aroma. You can have a real old tea experience when you taste this one. Chen Xiang (陈香) translates to “aged fragrance” is a term commonly used to describe the flavor and aroma that develops in well-aged Pu-erh tea. It represents the matured, deep, and smooth profile that emerges after years or even decades of proper storage.
This tea has a mellow, rounded, smooth, thick, and well-balanced liquor. The warm character, welcoming noble drink is sweet in aftertaste and makes oily, pleasant layer in our mouth.
