CHARACTER

A special organic loose leaf white mixed with fermented, old tangerine peel. The sweet, muscatel and honey aroma white tea get a fruity, sour and earthy taste from the old tangerine peels. This is not just interesting, but also very healthy and delicious. Chen Pi (also known as dried aged tangerine peel) is a traditional Chinese ingredient made from the peel of ripe tangerines, which is sun-dried and aged for several years. It is widely used in Chinese medicine, cuisine, and tea blends due to its unique taste and health benefits. Aged Chen Pi develops a deep, complex, citrusy flavor while the taste is sweet and slightly bitter. Its aroma is unique with hints of caramel, earthy and woody tones, sometimes a touch of smokiness. The older the Chen Pi, the smoother and more refined the taste. High-quality aged peels (10+ years) are often compared to fine aged tea or wine due to their depth of flavor.
