BACKGROUND
Mount Emei is one of China’s four sacred Buddhist mountains. Its stunning beauty and spiritual significance have inspired many poets and painters over the centuries. The area is a subtropical monsoon mountain, so fog and clouds cover the tea gardens for much of the year. Natural shade, abundant rainfall and good soil produce sweet teas rich in chlorophyll and theanine.
