Description

STYLE

The Han Wa traditional Yixing teapot shape is a classic design, inspired by ancient Chinese roof tile architecture used during the Han dynasty. This low and broad profile body has an ancient elegance and stable appearance. The lid often echoes the gentle curve of roof tiles, with a smooth, continuous flow from body to lid. On one side there are 2 chickens with a bamboo which is a good wish: strength and prosperity within the family.

The Han Wa shape is favored for oolong and aged pu-erh teas due to its stable thermal retention and broad base, which allows the leaves to open up and infuse evenly. The relatively flat body also makes it easy to pour and control the flow.
