STYLE

A tea vessel with a segmented design reminiscent of lotus petals, featuring a beautifully large knob on its lid. The gold stripe along the edges is actually the result of careful glazing, revealing the fired clay peeking through beneath the glaze.  The yellowish-beige crackled glaze gaiwan is a type of Ruyao ceramic. Ru ceramics have gained great popularity in recent years due to their understated elegance, matte sheen, waxy-soft texture, and fine cracks. Their appearance reflects the natural and harmonious beauty of tea drinking, encouraging clear thoughts, softness, restrained and quiet behavior.
