Description

ORIGIN & HARVEST TIME

Yunnan, Xishuangbanna, 2015

CHARACTER

A stunning tea cake made from wild-harvested, giant leaves. Its dense tea liqueur is both wine-like and jammy, smoky and sandalwood-infused— as if the entire forest, from roots to blossoms, had been brewed into it. Sipping it feels like unwinding in the tropics, accompanied by inspiring thoughts and dynamic energy.

The high solid content reveals itself in playful, firm bubbles and foam that never bursts. The brew’s color is a rosy-orange hue, while its flavor blends gouda cheese, asparagus, and orange, enriched with fermented aromas and the warm, southern character typical of wild teas.

The Six Famous Tea Mountain (SFTM) Company was founded in 2002 in Menghai County, Yunnan, China, specializing in premium puerh tea. The company takes its name from the legendary Six Famous Tea Mountains (六大茶山), which were historically renowned for producing high-quality puerh tea during the Qing Dynasty. Their puerh teas are primarily sourced from ancient tea trees (gushu, 古树) in famous regions like Yiwu, Bulang, and Menghai. SFTM produces both sheng (raw) and shou (ripe) puerh teas, offering a wide range of flavor profiles from fresh and floral to rich and earthy. The company has gained popularity among puerh collectors due to its limited-edition tea cakes and its focus on high-quality, single-region productions.
