Tea Ceremonies from the Song Dynasty to the 21st Century’s. | Traditional Brewing Steps, Tools and Tasting

Tea has a long-standing history dating back over a millennium, deeply rooted in local culture, medicine and philosophy. Tea preparation originated in a rich and highly evolved cultural environment.

We kindly invite you to participate in an exploratory journey introducing the various methods of brewing tea, from techniques originating in the Song Dynasty to the contemporary schools of the Art of Tea.

Our workshop primarily aims at introducing the history and evolution of tea producing and brewing practices throughout the ages and regional variations. The participants will gain insight into the traditional brewing steps, the tools and utensils used in tea making, and the practical methods of tasting.

This event is going to be the first one in a series of thematic workshops revolving around traditional tea culture, its abundant heritage and lore. Please note that the workshop will be conducted in English.
