We’d love to get you involved in a collaborative tea brewing session using our provided tools or even your own! Everyone will get a set and the same tea, but feel free to bring your favorite or new tools to try out. Together, we’ll brew two types of tea with our guidance. We’ll choose teas that are low in caffeine but packed with flavor. While brewing, we’ll share our experiences and taste each other’s creations. It’s a great chance to experiment, learn more about brewing, and enjoy a shared experience. You’ll see how different tools and techniques affect the final brew and discuss which factors influence the flavor the most. This isn’t a lecture but a hands-on workshop, so expect a more relaxed yet engaging event. Thanks in advance to those who join us, and we look forward to seeing you. The discussion will be in both German and English.

With our tea range you will get to know the most diverse tea regions and tea types. You can simply search for your favourite chinese or japanese green tea, Taiwan oolong or Yunnan puerh tea in our online shop. We also offer you a wide selection of Matcha tea sourced from reputed Japanese producers. Matcha is the ‘greenest green tea’, the only tea drunk whole when dissolved in water. Of course, our tea selection also includes rare and special teas like wuyi oolongs, phoenix mountain dancongs, old white teas, liu bao heicha or award-winning gyokuro teas.
Each tea region has its own characteristic “signature” tea types, such as the Long Jing of Hangzhou, Bai Hao Yinzhen of Fuding, Bi Luo Chun of Jiangsu, Huangshan Maofeng of Anhui, Tie Guan Yin of Anxi, High Mountain Oolong of Alishan and Uji Sencha from Kyoto. But there are also lesser known varieties only produced in small quantities at specific tea mountains or villages. We regularly travel to these remote tea gardens to bring you these specialties, so you will always find something new to try at Flying Bird Tea.
