CHARACTER

Lao cha consists of leaves selected from the center and bottom of the fermenting leaf pile, compressed into small clumps by weight and heat. It’s a variant with the same character as the tea cake but in more compact, fully fermented little clusters. The tea has a sweet, rum-nut aroma with light cocoa and dark chocolate notes, alongside a mild earthy quality. It can be prepared with longer or shorter infusions, providing a well-balanced strength suitable for all-day drinking. Nice Gushu with a high bud content which’ taste and colour reminds us of brown beer. Zao Xiang Type.

DOSAGE & BREWING GUIDELINE

According to the traditional Gongfucha tea ceremony, use 8g of tea for 1,5-2 dl of water (95°C), and infuse 10-12 times for 30 seconds.
