CHARACTER

An almost gyokuro-like sweet, sunny and delicate tea, made from the leaves of the highest-quality gardens in the best locations which were shaded for a week before harvest. This is the best sencha from the Takagi Family by tea master Keiho Takagi. Hoshinomura is famous for its beautiful terraced tea gardens. The clean water and air, as well as the unique soil that contains a lot of natural microorganisms and minerals called “thousands of rocks” give the tea extra vitamins, nutrient and unique character of the brew. The family plantations are in safer, foggy place between the pine wood forests near the Hoshino-gawa river.

DOSAGE & BREWING GUIDELINE

A) Traditional way in a houhin/kyusu teapot: 5-6 grams + 150-200 ml water. 70 C° water,  60 sec, 30 sec

B) Western brewing: 3-5 grams + 300-500 ml water.  Infuse with 70 C° water 2 times, for  1-2 minutes. / 2 inf.
