Description

In our introductory tea course, we explore the diverse world of tea varieties, including white, green, oolong, red/black, and puer teas, delving into how different growing regions and processing techniques create distinct types. During the practical session, participants will discover the tools and traditional methods of Chinese and Japanese tea preparation, making at least one variety from each type to understand the brewing parameters that affect aroma and flavor. While our focus is to provide a comprehensive introduction to all major tea types, we will also explore Japanese green teas to offer a broader perspective. By the end of the course, participants will have gained a solid foundation of knowledge that can be both enjoyed and expanded upon in the future.

The course includes both a theoretical and a hands-on part. Each participant using their own set to master the basics of traditional tea preparation. After the theoretical introduction, each participant will receive their own set, and we will prepare the selected teas together.
