Description

ORIGIN & HARVEST TIME

Yunnan, China, Menghai, 2008

CHARACTER

Aged sheng with a humid aroma and earthy notes, offering a lasting rhyme where camphorous, tangy, and mushroom-like characteristics remain steadily present. As a Menghai tea, its style leans toward robust and bold profiles, with its hardness only mellowing around the 10th infusion.

This tea is meant for tasting, as such mineral-rich, uniquely camphorous teas are not easy to drink daily. Its mineral hardness settles into a mushroomy tanginess by the end of the session, remaining notably full-bodied for another 10 infusions.

A serious, powerful tea, recommended only for practiced tea drinkers. Also available in 250g tea bricks.

B) Modern brewing in a jug: 5-10 grams + 300-500 ml water. It can be infused at 85 C°, for 2 minutes, 2-3 times. We recommend the traditional way.
