Near Menghai, in the Bulang Mountains area, is the Banzhang Mountain at about 1800 meters. Bitter on first sip, the taste gradually dissolves and a very delicate, powerfully expansive, developed flavour progresses down the throat. The word Banzhang in the Dai language means the place perfumed by the sweet smell of osmanthus flowers. 600 -2100 m high, large area. Their teas give a very rich qi sensation and long sweet finish. Many descriptions refer to the bitterness of tea. Apart from that, it is worth mentioning that banzhang tea also has a very strong aroma, and if you dose it right, the sandalwood, honey and fermented must flavours balance the bitterness. Then the tea not only has a very rich aftertaste, but also a very deep, complex and enjoyable sip, as if all the plants of the tropical forest had been brewed into a single syrup.

DOSAGE & BREWING GUIDELINE

A) According to the traditional gongfucha tea ceremony, after a “hot bath”, brew it several times at 85°C, with 20-40 second infusions.

B) In a jug, 1 heap (3-5 grams) per 3 dl 85 C° water can be infused several times with a long steep of 1-2 minutes.
