CHARACTER

Full-bodied, karigane style sencha with sweet stems. The 100-year-old, multi-award-winning Ushijima company was introduced to us on our May 2023 professional trip to Fukuoka, Japan, and we will be introducing more of their teas soon.

We recommend the tea in its original 100 gram packet, but 30 and 50 gram measured small portions are also available.

DOSAGE & BREWING GUIDELINE

A) Traditional way in a houhin/kyusu teapot: 5-6 grams + 150-200 ml water. 60-70 C° water,  60 sec, 20 sec, 10 sec.

B) Western brewing: 3-5 grams + 300-500 ml water.  Infuse with 60-70 C° water 2 times, for  1-2 minutes. / 2 inf.
