Description

STYLE

A Gan Pao (dry pouring) tea plate with a Qing Hua (under glaze blue painted) design on porcelain covered with a Qing Bai (bluish white) glaze. It has a perfect geometry, a medium deep, raised base, good handle, thicker material plate, which you can comfortably hold.  The teapot and the tea are beautifully displayed on the bluish glossy, classic design. It’s also perfect for a tea ceremony on an office desk or an artistic gan pao arrangement. Old Jingdezhen porcelain, almost unbreakable.

On the platter is a poem by Wang Bo, in which the poet describes the late-night atmosphere of the Western Palace. He reflects on the silence and fragrant flowers, and then expresses his regret that people do not appreciate the beautiful scenery. He mentions current events at court and the sorrow of a disgraced concubine. The poem sums up the poet’s thoughts in the evening.
