CHARACTER

A cultivar born from the crossbreeding of Saemidori and Sakimidori, this variety requires plenty of sunlight and is known for its outstanding aromatic qualities.

A lightly astringent sencha with fruity, peach-like notes.

We discovered this tea during our professional trip to Japan in May 2023, when we visited the award-winning Ushijima company, a producer with over 100 years of history, based in Fukuoka.

DOSAGE & BREWING GUIDELINE

A) Traditional way in a houhin/kyusu teapot: 5-6 grams + 150-200 ml water. 70 C° water,  60 sec, 30 sec

B) Western brewing: 3-5 grams + 300-500 ml water.  Infuse with 70 C° water 2 times, for  1-2 minutes. / 2 inf.
